Jeff Solomon has developed his skills in 20+ years' experience working in the chemical and refining industries with ExxonMobil, BP Chemicals, BP Oil, Hercules, Inc., and Dow Chemical Company.  His management roles have included corporate quality assurance, laboratory operations, distribution logistics, production planning, and mass balance.  He also developed and managed a major marine terminal/pipeline project.

Text Box: Six Sigma Projects Completed (partial listing):
Laboratory Consolidation: Combination of two chemical plant laboratories with a lubricants plant laboratory and a refinery laboratory. Saved $3.5M (27%) from a total $13M annual budget. 
Global Service Level Agreement:  Developed a global service level agreement for on-stream analyzers capturing world-wide best practices and improving customer satisfaction. 
Laboratory Cost Reduction:  Reduced workload in plant laboratory by test schedule adjustment and in-laboratory workflow streamlining. Saved $1.0M (33%) from a $3M annual budget.
Marine Terminal/Pipelines:  Developed, with a governmental partner, a major ($50M) marine terminal with two 20 mile hazardous material pipelines connecting the plant with the public deepwater port. Saved over $7M per year in product distribution costs. 
Marketing Offers:  Developed specific, quantifiable product/service offerings based on channel of trade. Improved customer satisfaction (survey results) and increased margins. 
Self-Directed Teams:  Established self-directed refinery laboratory work teams focused on internal customer segments. Resulted in reduced overtime, a measurable increase in productivity, and improved customer satisfaction (360 evaluation).

Jeff has served as a consultant for business process re-design, has led multiple continuous improvement projects, and has coordinated LIMS and SAP implementations. He is conversant with all fuels regulations and industry standards. Jeff is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and is well versed in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
